SYMPTOMS:
P0093 – Leak in the fuel system. Major leak.
-Fault code recorded in the engine control unit.
-Engine warning light (MIL) ON. Knocking engine noise.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
-Defect in the nozzle of one or several injectors. The water condensation that is formed inside the cylinder may cause corrosion, deformations and cracks in the injector nozzle.
SOLUTION:
Repair procedure:
- Read the fault codes recorded in the engine control unit using the diagnostic tool.
- Confirm that the fault code mentioned in the field symptoms of this bulletin is recorded.
- Confirm that the symptoms mentioned in the field symptoms of this bulletin are reproduced.
- Remove the injectors.
- Check if there are deformations, cracks or corrosion in the nozzles of the injectors (See ima- ge).
- Replace the injectors if deformations, cracks or corrosion are observed in the nozzles of the injectors by following the repair manual procedure.
